| Since
1996 Southport Model Railway Village has been attracting families
and model train enthusiasts from all over the world. This spectacular
Model Village consists of beautiful vistas and fabulous panoramic
views of the miniature landscape and Model Trains.
Based
upon typical southwest Lancashire architecture the layout consists
of a country scene, village and town. Movement is generated in
the Model Village by one of the largest 45mm garden railway systems
in the UK. With Five LGB trains continuously running on 500 metres
of track.
It
is not unusual for children to want to spend all day with their
parents or grand parents at the Model Railway Village, just watching
or following their favorite model train whilst it meanders around
the 1.5 acres of beautiful miniature landscape. |

It
is also not unusual for children to return the next day with another
member of the family or continuously visit each week from spring
through till the end of season - equally just as enthusiastic
as on their first day.
With
plenty of bench recesses, parents can keep a close eye on their
children whilst relaxing having a picnic or just unwinding. Together
with the peace and tranquility of the sheltered and highly secured
site, the Model Village has become every popular with people who
prefer the quality side to life.
The
site has been designed for easy access for wheel chairs and double
buggies and includes a tastefully laid-out Teashop and Gardens
with full Toilet facilities for the disabled. When in Southport,
the Model Village is an attraction that every model trains and
LGB Trains enthusiast must visit. |
